Brandon Young’s Movie Reviews
PCU (1994)
Starring:
Jeremy
Piven (No, I won’t say “Let’s hug it out,
bitch.” Damn, I just said it. He’s also that guy from every
movie where he’s played the role of “best friend”)
Chris Young (No relation to this pussy)
Megan Ward (Uh…you may know her from…uh…well, she’s cute)
Jon Favreau (Swingers. Need I say more? Okay, I also saw him in person at Comic-Con)
Alex Desert (Charles from Swingers and Eli Williams from Boy Meets World)
David Spade (No comment)
Jake Busey (Maybe one day he’ll be as crazy as his father. I doubt it though)
George Clinton (And the Parliament-Funkadelic)
Director:
Hart Bochner (Directed High School High as well. Well, at least it was PCU first)
Plot:
A high
school senior, aka Pre-Frosh (I never heard of this term before or
after this movie either), visits Port Chester University for the
weekend to see if he’d be interested in attending that college
after he graduates high school. He’s basically a complete dork
when the weekend begins. The dude he’s sentenced to hang out with
for the weekend (Piven) is old as hell and is the main playa for the
“worst fraternity” on campus, The Pit. Basically, Ari tells
CY (That’s what I’m calling Chris Young the rest of the
time, except for when I change it) to get lost. CY obeys his command
and meanders around campus on his own only to have some really crappy
things happen to him. Well, Piven feels sorry for the kid after stuff
happens and kind of takes him under his wing. Well, The Pit ends up
throwing this kick ass party that George Clinton and the
Parliament-Funkadelic show up to thanks to Favreau playing the role his
fat body was meant to play post the time he played D-Bob in Rudy yet
pre those episodes of Friends where he was a millionaire and got his
ass handed to him by Tank Abbott in the UFC. Throwing this party allows
The Pit to make enough money to pay all the fees they had accumulated
from not being politically correct (this is the other meaning of PCU;
Politically Correct University; it’s kind of like a not-so-cool
double-meaning type thing). Oh yeah, David Spade is the leader of The
Pit’s rival frat (in quotation marks), Balls and Shaft.
Favorite Part:
When
Gutter’s past out on the street and that old lady asks if he can,
“Blow me where the pampers is?” I know this is pretty
generic to say it’s your favorite part, but it is so Gutter.
Gutter is a tool.
Review:
If
you’re a senior about to graduate, you will like this movie. If
you’re in college, you will like this movie. If you watched this
movie in the mid-nineties and liked it, you should watch this movie.
Recommendation:
You should watch it.
