Director: Rick & Dave
Plot: A couple of Canadian versions of my brother in five years (basically living at home with
their parents, without a job, living off the old man's beer) try to scam a brewery out of
free beer. Their plan works, as they help the new owner of the Elsinore Brewery (the
cute daughter of the deceased owner) and get jobs as beer counters or something lame
like that. There are two guys, The Brewmeister and This other guy that was the brother
of the dead owner who married the dead owner's wife and the hot Canadian chick's mom
(kind of strange in a brewish sort of way, but this allows him to temporarily own the
company until the daughter turned 21) have created a secret formula that makes their beer
very addictive (personally, I think this is a great business idea, but I have no morals). The
Brewmeister and that other dude don't want the chick to ruin their plans and try to frame
Barney Rubble and Dave Thomas from Wendy's (I got nothing else to call him at this point;
I'm not sure if calling him Trevor from Arrested Development will help) in an attempt to
murder that one chick. Basically, Rick "Don't call me Little Giants" Moranis and Dave
"No, I'm not the dead guy that owned Wendy's" Thomas play the same roles as they played
in SCTV. If you've never seen or heard of SCTV you may want to kill yourself or go and
rent a copy of them somewhere. Honey, I Shrunk the Kids and Dave Thomas get caught in
the frame job, and must prove their innocence to get free from the insane asylum (oh yeah, I
forgot to tell you that a judge sentenced them to the insane asylum that is next door to the
brewery; you'll have to watch it to know what I'm talking about; there's crazy people that
play hockey by being brainwashed; this movie is strange) and help Pam (that's the Canadian
chick's name; I should have told you that earlier) save her brewery from making an enormous
amount of money from the addictive beer (as if beer isn't addictive enough). There's also a
dog in it (the movie, not the beer).
Favorite Part: When Dark Helmet and Dave Thomas are locked up in the loony bin (not the comedy
club in Oklahoma City), they are mad at each other and are sitting on the ground.
Louis Tulley from Ghostbusters crosses an imaginary line that Wendy's owner tells him
not to cross. As a result, Carrot Top's dad "steamrolls" Moranis. They "steamroll"
each other (not as gay as you think; well, maybe a little) for about one minute. This is
my favorite part not because it's a little gay, but it reminds me of the stupid things like
this I've done with my brother and unknowing young boys.
Review: Don't be a hoser, eh. This movie is pretty darned good, eh. Them Canucks are everywhere, eh.
Now take off, eh.
Recommendation: You should watch it, eh.
