The Gaffigan Interview.
Here is the brief interview I had with VERY funny man Jim Gaffigan. In case you don't know who Jim Gaffigan is, you suck. His hour long special, 'Beyond the Pale,' will be on Comedy Central on 1-29-06 at 9 pm EST, 8 pm CST, and... well, if you haven't figured time zones yet you need to go back to school.
The Interview:
What is your favorite type of Hot Pocket?
The sunscreen Hot Pocket.
Us here at DamnCrackers.com have grown accustomed to referring to you as "The Ritz of Crackers." How does it feel to be the most pale person on the face of the earth?
I always wanted to be the Ritz of crackers. I feel I've worked hard at staying out of the sun.
Have you and Dave Letterman ever gone out, got liquered up and visited a strip club?
No, never gone out. I dont think he even drinks anyway.
Aside from Gerald Young, who are some of your favorite up and coming comedians?
I dont know. Gerald is the king. Besides there are plenty of comics I like, but I think describing them as up and coming might be an insult.
What is the favorite acting role that you have done?
I think acting like I'm friends with Gerald is challenging.
Has anything happened while you were performing that really stood out? Such as a crazy heckler and what not.
Every comic has bad experiences. A good comic knows how to blame it on the audience.
How did your first time on stage go?
It was a dare. It's on my new DVD. Terrifiying but fun.
If you weren't a comedian, what would you like to be?
Gerald's Mom.
Do you have any hidden talents?
Right now I'm cleaning my oven.
What was your earlier material like compared to what you do now? Do you still do any jokes that you wrote in the beginning?
Not really. More food. I'm getting wierder I guess
How many boobs have autographed?
I always turn that down. I'm married, sir.
How many people have autographed your boobs?
Over 1,000 just in Albany. I love that place.
Do you have any guilty pleasures?
Doing interviews 5 people will read.
